Throughout that time, the company has supported major financial institutions, trust companies, and law firms in producing accurate, compliant, and court-ready fiduciary accountings. With decades of experience delivering both fiduciary accounting software and outsourced accounting services, FASTER Systems brings rare, end-to-end expertise across the full spectrum of fiduciary reporting needs.
FASTER Systems was founded in 1989 to address a growing need for reliable court accounting software in the trust and estate industry. The original FASTER court accounting software was developed in collaboration with a major Philadelphia-based bank, incorporating direct input from its Court Accounting Department. The result was an efficient, practical solution built on real-world fiduciary expertise.
In March 2000, FASTER Systems expanded its offerings to include outsourced court accounting preparation services. This evolution was driven by the recognition that fiduciaries could operate more efficiently and cost-effectively by outsourcing complex court accounting work to a specialized team. This approach allowed fiduciaries to focus on client relationships and daily administration, while relying on experienced professionals for accurate and timely court accountings.
Today, FASTER Systems provides both fiduciary accounting software and outsourced accounting services to clients throughout the trust and estate industry. Many clients utilize both offerings to fully meet their compliance, reporting, and operational needs.

Doug Michaels
Co-Owner | Sales & Finance
Doug Michaels is a co-owner of FASTER Systems and brings extensive experience in entrepreneurship, sales, and finance. Alongside his brother Greg, Doug has co-owned and grown multiple businesses, including a direct marketing company that scaled from startup to private equity acquisition in 2010. In 2011, the brothers acquired FASTER Systems, continuing its legacy while expanding its impact within the fiduciary accounting industry. Doug is driven by solving complex problems, building trusted client relationships, and delivering services clients truly value.
Greg Michaels
Owner
Greg Michaels is an owner of FASTER Systems with a strong background in building and operating successful businesses. He co-founded a printing company with his brother Doug in 1996, growing it over 14 years into a 23-employee operation with a 13,000-square-foot facility before selling to private equity in 2010. In early 2011, Greg and Doug purchased FASTER Systems and have led the company ever since, focusing on long-term stability, client trust, and continued growth within the fiduciary accounting industry.
Kathleen Dever
Vice President
Kathleen Dever has over 40 years of experience in fiduciary and court accounting and is widely recognized as a leading expert in the field. She played a pivotal role in the original development of FASTER’s court accounting software while working at a major bank in the late 1980s and later became FASTER Systems’ first customer. In 1997, she joined the company to further develop the software, launching the first Windows-based fiduciary accounting software in the industry. Kathleen also helped establish FASTER’s outsourced accounting services in 2000 and continues to oversee software development, client support, and accounting services. She has served as a guest lecturer for fiduciary accounting programs and is known for her deep expertise and commitment to client partnership.

Lenard (Lenny) McMinn is an IT professional with over 30 years of experience in application development and complex system implementation. At FASTER Systems, he specializes in designing, maintaining, and optimizing the technical infrastructure that supports fiduciary accounting solutions. Lenard is known for his ability to analyze business processes, manage technical risk, and deliver reliable, high-integrity systems that empower both clients and internal teams. His work ensures that FASTER’s software solutions remain dependable, scalable, and aligned with real-world fiduciary needs.
Hilary Bruynell
Fiduciary Accountant II
Hilary Bruynell joined FASTER Systems in 2016 and quickly developed a passion for fiduciary accounting. After transitioning to a full-time role in 2017, she became an integral part of the outsourced accounting services team. Hilary now plays a leadership role within the department, coordinating workflows, overseeing account completion, and ensuring work is distributed efficiently among accountants. Known for her organization and attention to detail, Hilary helps keep the accounting process running smoothly and accurately for FASTER’s clients.
